Business Processes Improvement
Improvement of NPI (New Product Introduction) processes, change control, Product release for prototype, alpha, beta, mass productionTDP (Technical Data package) preparation etc. We evaluate current processes and recommend improvements according to Configuration Management methodology. Our recommendations are based on Configuration Management best practices and leading standards that is CMMI, ISO-9000, ISO-10007, ISO\IEEE-12207 and according to specific industry requirements such as FAA, FDA (focused on 21 CFR Part 11 and 21 CFR Part 820).
Specific Activities
a. Gap Analysis–Evaluating current processes and Configuration Management practices with respect to either one of CMMI (Process Area - CM), ISO-10007, EIA\IS-649, MIL-STD-973 (although obsolete it is still one of the best CM standards ever written)
b. Improved Processes–We define new processes and applicable procedures for Configuration Management subjects, e.g.; baselines establishment, design reviews and configuration audits (such as FCA, PCA), change control, documents control, TDP etc. Making it short all Configuration Management disciplines.
c. Software Configuration Management (SCM)–Specific issues regarding SCM such as libraries establishment (unit development, CSCI, integration etc.).
d. Deployment of Configuration Management Practices
e. Configuration Management Plan (CMP and SCMP)–MEDAV, CM4 PLM experts will prepare CMP’s and SCMP, i.e.; Configuration Management Plan for both the project level and for software.
